Installation Instructions Please close all running programs before installing the CSI: Dark Motives in order to avoid any problems. Do not install this application in your Windows folder or in the root of the C: drive. To install CSI: Dark Motives demo from a CD, insert the CD into your computer, if it does not start automatically, run the program called setup from the root of the demo disk. You will need a minimum of 350 MB of hard drive space to install the application. It is not recommended to run windows with less than 100 MB of free space. 2. Uninstallation Instructions: You may uninstall the game from the add/remove programs menu or from the uninstall icon added to the start menu by the installer 3. General Problem Solving a. Depending on the video card installed in your system the game may look and perform better in either Open GL or Direct X video modes. You can choose the video mode by pressing the Esc key while running the game. b. If 360 degree panorama environments in the game appear blurry, objects are reversed or any other graphic glitches occur, switch your selected renderer from Open GL to DirectX or vice versa. Go to the Main Menu, select Options, and click on the box for the renderer you require. 4. Known Issues a. On low spec systems, performance issues may be experienced. b. There are very rare instances where the arrow cursor is replaced with the Windows default cursor. If this situation is experienced, navigate to a character close-up view to reset the cursor. 5.
