Troubleshooting
Error Messages
If your browser asks you to log in with a username and password, or displays an error message like "The server returned extended information," "Connection refused" or "The page cannot be displayed," this often means that the selected download site has reached its maximum capacity and is not allowing any more users to connect. Select another download site from the list, or try again later.
Disconnection
When downloading large files, you will want to use a download manager that allows you to resume interrupted downloads. The most popular download managers also allow you to schedule downloads to begin at a later time, and provide for automatic connection and disconnection from the Internet for dial-up users.
Slow Download Speed
If you find that the download is progressing too slowly, try selecting a different download site from the list. The sites are grouped by location -- pick the server that is closest to you.
